Dr. Fadi Abu Shahini is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Abu Shahin received his medical degree at the University of Damascus and was Valedictorian of his class. He completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Yale University then proceeded to Northwestern University for his Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology where he was Chief Resident. Dr. Abu Shanin also completed a Fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology at Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Abu Shahin believes the best outcome for women with cancer is achieved through an educated partnership between the treating physician and the patient. It is essential to provide women with potential or diagnosed cancer a clear knowledge of their disease and all aspects of the available treatment options. Dr. Abu Shahin is trained in minimally invasive surgery and state-of-the-art robotic surgery for the treatment of gynecologic malignancies. His special interest and experience in basic and clinical research allows him to offer his patients access to current clinical trials emphasizing the most advanced treatment options and technologies.
